2008 National Electric Code® Update

For Only $95!!

Novel Engineering has been conducting both traditional and independent study NEC® training programs since the early 90's. Our 15-hour update course is approved by the Maine Electricians' Examining Board and has been well received. We have written a study text/course for the 2008 Code to be used nationally. This text does not contain amendments to the 2008 NEC® enacted by any state or jurisdiction (except for Maine). 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded upon completion of our 15-hour update course. CEUs are recognized by many state licensing agencies as meeting continuing education requirements for trade and professional licenses. Check with you state licensing agency concerning acceptance of CEUs.

Novel Engineering's NEC® update by correspondence is a convenient and efficient way to familiarize yourself with the changes in the 2008 Code. It is designed to be completed in your own home or office--you set the time and the pace.  After registering for the course, you'll be mailed a study text of the major Code changes. We have prepared our own book of changes for this Code cycle, professionally published by American Technical Publishers. The text contains a summary of the 100 most significant changes. Graphics, photographs, examples, or calculations are used to illustrate the change and to enhance learning. Application questions (100) within the text are answered explaining how the answer was arrived at. The student will complete a separate multiple choice exam. The book will be a good tool for future reference. The Code book is not included in the cost of $99.00.

Note for Maine licensees holding licenses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire:

Please be aware that Massachusetts does not recognize this program for Massachusetts Electrical license renewal since it is not delivered by the traditional classroom method. Novel Engineering is uncertain at this time concerning our program's reciprocity with New Hampshire.

NEC® AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE® ARE REGISTERED TRADEMARKS OF THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION.
